Wood Tools Spoon Knife Compound Curve

Wood Tools Spoon Knife Compound Curve & Sheath

Robin Wood has over 30 years of spoon carving experience and after many years forging his own tools he has finally started making hook knives for sale. These knives are made from an excellent high alloy steel, very hard and tough so they hold an edge for a long time. They come razor sharp and ready to use.

The handles are made from Beech and are approx 7.5 inches long, allowing for a great range of grips to be used efficiently. This compound curve spoon knife design is designed for versatility. The gradually tightening curve towards the end of the spoon knife blade allows you to carve most size spoons with ease, from small caddy spoons and eating spoons to larger ladles and kuksas.

Optional: Each knife can come supplied with a well made recycled fire hose sheath to protect the edge of the tool and the user for many years. Fire hose makes for a great sheath material, it looks great, it's robust, and it's more interesting! They are quick and easy to fit yet really tight and secure when in place. A gentle push with the thumb on the seam edge un sheaths the tool safely. These sheaths are ambidextrous, and will need adding to the cart separately.

These knives are available in either left or right handed, please choose from the drop down menu when placing your order.

It is illegal to supply an edged tool to any person under the age of 18.
